The puppies are 3 weeks old!

Gracelyn's puppies are just over 3 weeks old now! They're so sweet and loving - we could watch them play all day!

Gracelyn & Magnum's beautiful puppies are here! 2 girls and 4 boys arrived last week...

She's such an excellent first time Mom and we're in love with these babies! 

We’re expecting puppies soon!

Can there be a better reason to update our blog? lol Yes, our beautiful girl ‘Gracelyn’ is pregnant! She was bred to the stunning BISS AM/CAN GCH Laureate Magnified ROM/ROMC and their puppies are due to arrive next week! We’re so excited and can hardly wait!

Kathy also had fun showing our friend Deb's Havanese to a 3 point win! Imagine a little dog totally covered with the soft hair that's found behind Shelties' ears...that's the coat of a Havanese!

Harbour City Dog Fanciers Fall Show

What an exciting weekend Kathy and Aimee had at the Harbour City Dog Fanciers Fall Show!
They won a Group 1st and Group 2nd and had a great time with friends!

My new favorite picture - with Judge Greg Storms from Ontario. He had SO many complimentary things to say about Aimee and that she was the nicest Sheltie he'd seen all year!

The next day I was thrilled to hear they won Group 1st under Judge Valerie Piltz from Washington. This takes Aimee more than half way to her UKC Championship! 

Kathy, you've done a lovely job with Aimee - thank-you for getting her back in the show ring! :)
I'm so proud of you both!

January = Back To School

January is back to school time after the Winter break. There's so much going on in the building all at the same time. Puppy Kindergarten is in one ring, the Novice Obedience class is in another, and sandwiched in between those two classes is the Show Dog Handling Class, with a Rally Obedience class in the corner ring.
I managed to get a quick pic of Kathy with Mardi, in the line with our friend Lawrence, and his Westie puppy Morse. 

It's great to get back into the swing of things!

Throwback Thursday - Back To The 80's

Today I'm digging back into the archives and sharing a Winter show photo from the 80's of me and our lovely "Debbie", Ch. Merithot Debutante.

She was an absolute dream who especially loved the shows! I'd drop the leash and she'd show her little heart out. She didn't have a full white collar, so most of her win photos were taken from the other side. For those of you not in the dog show world, this side (her left) is called their 'show' side, as this is the view the Judge has while standing in the ring.
