Sugar at our local Farm Market

Nice sunny skies yesterday made for the perfect Fall afternoon at our local Farm Market with Sugar :)

Ringside Candids From VIDFA Dog Show

Here are the ringside candid shots of our boy Mardi's first time in the ring. This photo captures his personality so perfectly! He's such a happy, confident, outgoing little guy!

And I love this one with my daughter Kathy, who's trained him so beautifully! They make a great team!

VIDFA Dog Show Weekend

This weekend we went to the Vancouver Island Dog Fanciers show with Mardi, and had a wonderful time despite the fact it was a very soggy and rainy two days.

Mardi and Kathy

We thought it would be fun to get him out for some show experience, as our local training classes were cancelled this Spring - the building where we train is being used by Fox Studios for storing props and cars for the TV series "Gracepoint". Mardi went Reserve Winners Dog both days, and had a great time.

Kathy and Adriana did some shopping at the show dog supplies vendor, and we all enjoyed hot fries and poutine from the food truck. It was also nice to meet some other Sheltie exhibitors here on the Island. These are a couple of photos that Adriana took at our grooming tent setup :)  There are also some ringside candid shots of Mardi's first time in the ring that we'll share as soon as the photographer sends them!

Throwback Thursday

Jasper's Agility Adventures

We're so happy to share exciting news about Jasper! His wonderful Mom and Dad, Judy and Randy, have been doing a great job with him in Agility and competed in their first trial last weekend!

They're doing awesome, and the fact that Jasper is the first dog they've ever trained is remarkable!

You can see why his registered name is "Kel-Lani's Jumpin' Jasper"

Here's a video of Jasper with Randy at the trial:

and with Judy at training class:

Congratulations Judy and Randy on your wonderful achievements with Jasper! We're thrilled you're having such fun with him and we can see he's thoroughly enjoying it too. Thanks again for the updates, pictures and videos!

(for those following our blog, Jasper is the puppy we nicknamed "PJ").

Merry Christmas everyone!

May your homes be filled with happiness,

your hearts with love and joy,

and for every little Sheltie,

let there be a special toy!

Merry Christmas!

Mardi's Nutcracker Audition

Here's a quick video of Mardi out in the little bit of snow we have here. It makes me laugh, so thought I'd share....

Happy Halloween!

Birthday Boys

Over the weekend Mardi and his friend Rhys celebrated their July Birthdays with a wonderful party hosted by Rhys' Mom Adriana. Mardi turned 2 this month, and Rhys turned 1.

Mardi eyes the prezzies...

Rhys and Mardi can smell the nummies, but are still being good...

...until Mardi dives in!  LOL

We had such an enjoyable afternoon watching the Shelties play as Aimee and her friend Holly
were also there.

Thanks Kathy and Adriana for the pics!

A few more pics from the Vic City Show weekend

Thought I'd share a few more photos from the last day of the show! Spring has really sprung here on Vancouver Island...
